In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:\par\tab A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.


Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.


For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.


{\b Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,\par\tab And they shall call his name Immanuel};\par which is, being interpreted,\par\tab {\b God with us.}


and were continually in the temple, blessing God.\par


And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.


No man hath seen God at any time; God only begotten, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared {\i him}.\par


The same was in the beginning with God.


I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.}


And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.


Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.


Jesus said unto them, {\cf6 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am.}


whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.\par


and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;


who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,


who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;


and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.


And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.\par


looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;


Jesus Christ {\i is} the same yesterday and to-day, (yea) and for ever.


without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a priest continually.\par


Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and {\i the} Saviour Jesus Christ:


And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, {\i even} in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.


For there are three who bear witness,


saying, {\cf6 What thou seest, write in a book and send {\i it} to the seven churches: unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.}


And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he put his right hand upon me, saying, {\cf6 Fear not; I am the first and the last,


who bare witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, {\i even} of all things that he saw.


{\cf6 I am the Alpha and the Omega,} saith the Lord God, {\cf6 who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.}\par


And he {\i is} arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God.


And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write:\par\tab These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and lived {\i again}:


And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I {\i am} the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.


I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.}


And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write:\par\tab These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
