Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends;\par\tab For the hand of God hath touched me.


But put forth thy hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face.


Thy words have upholden him that was falling,\par\tab And thou hast made firm the feeble knees.


To him that is ready to faint kindness {\i should be showed} from his friend;\par\tab Even to him that forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.


I cried to thee, O Jehovah;\par\tab And unto Jehovah I made supplication:


If thou faint in the day of adversity,\par\tab Thy strength is small.


Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:


Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.


For consider him that hath endured such gainsaying of sinners against himself, that ye wax not weary, fainting in your souls.


and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons,\par\tab {\b My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord,\par\tab Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;}
