And dost thou open thine eyes upon such a one,\par\tab And bringest me into judgment with thee?


That he would maintain the right of a man with God,\par\tab And of a son of man with his neighbor!


Be ye afraid of the sword:\par\tab For wrath {\i bringeth} the punishments of the sword,\par\tab That ye may know there is a judgment.\par


Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous?\par\tab Or is it gain {\i to him}, that thou makest thy ways perfect?


For he needeth not further to consider a man,\par\tab That he should go before God in judgment.


Am I a sea, or a sea-monster,\par\tab That thou settest a watch over me?


If {\i we speak} of strength, lo, {\i he is} mighty!\par\tab And if of justice, Who, {\i saith he}, will summon me?


For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him,\par\tab That we should come together in judgment.


And enter not into judgment with thy servant;\par\tab For in thy sight no man living is righteous.


When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity,\par\tab Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth:\par\tab Surely every man is vanity. {\i Selah\par


At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob,\par\tab Both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.


It is burned with fire, it is cut down:\par\tab They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.


For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.\par


As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
