I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor,\par\tab I who called upon God, and he answered:\par\tab The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.


But ye are forgers of lies;\par\tab Ye are all physicians of no value.


Is it good that he should search you out?\par\tab Or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him?


Surely there are mockers with me,\par\tab And mine eye dwelleth upon their provocation.\par


Suffer me, and I also will speak;\par\tab And after that I have spoken, mock on.


And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar,\par\tab And make my speech nothing worth?\par


What man is like Job,\par\tab Who drinketh up scoffing like water,


Like the profane mockers in feasts,\par\tab They gnashed upon me with their teeth.


Fill their faces with confusion,\par\tab That they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.


I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.


And if any man obeyeth not our word by this epistle, note that man, that ye have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
