Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy pain and thy conception; in pain thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.


and they shall be dismayed; pangs and sorrows shall take hold {\i of them}; they shall be in pain as a woman in travail: they shall look in amazement one at another; their faces {\i shall be} faces of flame.


Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child: wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?


For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that gaspeth for breath, that spreadeth her hands, {\i saying}, Woe is me now! for my soul fainteth before the murderers.\par


Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
