When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn?\par\tab And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?\par\tab Alike whether {\i it be done} unto a nation, or unto a man:


For he maketh sore, and bindeth up;\par\tab He woundeth, and his hands make whole.


Therefore he said that he would destroy them,\par\tab Had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach,\par\tab To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy {\i them}.


Look on {\i my} right hand, and see;\par\tab For there is no man that knoweth me:\par\tab Refuge hath failed me;\par\tab No man careth for my soul.


and he said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his eyes, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians: for I am Jehovah that healeth thee.


From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; {\i but} wounds, and bruises, and fresh stripes: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with oil.


And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.


Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and, behold, dismay!


Heal me, O Jehovah, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.


For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; because they have called thee an outcast, {\i saying}, It is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.\par


Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them abundance of peace and truth.


Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter of Egypt: in vain dost thou use many medicines; there is no healing for thee.


As a well casteth forth its waters, so she casteth forth her wickedness: violence and destruction is heard in her; before me continually is sickness and wounds.


Is there no balm in Gilead? is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?\par


What shall I testify unto thee? what shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem?\par\tab What shall I compare to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion?\par\tab For thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?


And I sought for a man among them, that should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.


Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it hath not been bound up, to apply {\i healing} medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it be strong to hold the sword.


I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.


Come, and let us return unto Jehovah; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.


There is no assuaging of thy hurt: thy wound is grievous: all that hear the report of thee clap their hands over thee; for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?\par


See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.


who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.


My little children, these things write I unto you that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
