The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords;\par\tab They have spread a net by the wayside;\par\tab They have set gins for me. {\i Selah


Let their table before them become a snare;\par\tab And when they are in peace, {\i let it become} a trap.


The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;\par\tab The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.


For thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.


Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.


therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner-{\i stone} of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.

And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.}
