Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see;\par\tab And make their loins continually to shake.


But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.


And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.


And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get me honor upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.


And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.


He that shutteth his eyes, {\i it is} to devise perverse things:\par\tab He that compresseth his lips bringeth evil to pass.


a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;


And Jehovah will smite Egypt, smiting and healing; and they shall return unto Jehovah, and he will be entreated of them, and will heal them.\par


Therefore shall the word of Jehovah be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.\par


For Jehovah hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes, the prophets; and your heads, the seers, hath he covered.


therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.\par


Tarry ye and wonder; take your pleasure and be blind: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.


They know not, neither do they consider: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.


O Jehovah, why dost thou make us to err from thy ways, and hardenest our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.


The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?


Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; that have eyes, and see not; that have ears, and hear not:


To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of Jehovah is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.


Thou wilt give them hardness of heart, thy curse unto them.


And Jehovah said unto me, Take unto thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.


But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.


{\b For this people's heart is waxed gross,\par\tab And their ears are dull of hearing,\par\tab And their eyes they have closed;\par\tab Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes,\par\tab And hear with their ears,\par\tab And understand with their heart,\par\tab And should turn again,\par\tab And I would heal them.}


{\b He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart;\par\tab Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart,\par\tab And should turn,\par\tab And I should heal them.}


{\b For this people's heart is waxed gross,\par\tab And their ears are dull of hearing,\par\tab And their eyes they have closed;\par\tab Lest, haply they should perceive with their eyes,\par\tab And hear with their ears,\par\tab And understand with their heart,\par\tab And should turn again, And I should heal them.}


Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;


to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?


But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Jehovah thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as at this day.


the great trials which thine eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders:


but Jehovah hath not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.


For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxed fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.


But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek; Then he forsook God who made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
