Evil devices are an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But pleasant words {\i are} pure.


The thought of foolishness is sin;\par\tab And the scoffer is an abomination to men.


Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,\par\tab And hands that shed innocent blood;


A heart that deviseth wicked purposes,\par\tab Feet that are swift in running to mischief,


My heart crieth out for Moab; her nobles {\i flee} unto Zoar, to Eglath-shelishi-yah: for by the ascent of Luhith with weeping they go up; for in the way of Horonaim they raise up a cry of destruction.


For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise profaneness, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.


let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.


For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue muttereth wickedness.


Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.


I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.
