God will not withdraw his anger;\par\tab The helpers of Rahab do stoop under him.


Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength:\par\tab So will we sing and praise thy power.\par

Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord?\par\tab Arise, cast {\i us} not off for ever.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain;\par\tab Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.


The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine:\par\tab The world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.


Jehovah reigneth;\par\tab He is clothed with majesty;\par\tab Jehovah is clothed with strength; he hath girded himself therewith:\par\tab The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.


Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Jehovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:


In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.\par


For Egypt helpeth in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I called her Rahab that sitteth still.\par


Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.


My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples; the isles shall wait for me, and on mine arm shall they trust.


Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.


Jehovah hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.\par


Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?


Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy grain to be food for thine enemies; and foreigners shall not drink thy new wine, for which thou hast labored:


speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lieth in the midst of his rivers, that hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.


As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things.


Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.


Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people,\par\tab For the salvation of thine anointed;\par\tab Thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked man,\par\tab Laying bare the foundation even unto the neck. {\i Selah


And he will pass through the sea of affliction, and will smite the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart.


Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.\par


He hath showed strength with his arm;\par\tab He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart.


that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake,\par\tab {\b Lord, who hath believed our report?\par\tab And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?}


{\b And the nation to which they shall be in bondage will I judge,} said God: {\b and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.}


Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


saying,\par\tab We give thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who wast; because thou hast taken thy great power, and didst reign.


And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.


And Gideon said unto him, Oh, my lord, if Jehovah is with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? but now Jehovah hath cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.
