Then rose up the heads of fathers' {\i houses} of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up to build the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem.


And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be hidden any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers;


And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.\par


Go ye forth from Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say ye, Jehovah hath redeemed his servant Jacob.


They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water will he guide them.


But thus saith Jehovah, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.


Shake thyself from the dust; arise, sit {\i on thy throne}, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.\par


When Jeremiah was come into the dungeon-house, and into the cells, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;


As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit wherein is no water.
