And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them,\par\tab And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.


He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up:\par\tab So he led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.


Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength:\par\tab Thou brakest the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.


Thy way was in the sea,\par\tab And thy paths in the great waters,\par\tab And thy footsteps were not known.


But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.


Thou in thy lovingkindness hast led the people that thou hast redeemed: Thou hast guided them in thy strength to thy holy habitation.


And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his scorching wind will he wave his hand over the River, and will smite it into seven streams, and cause men to march over dryshod.


And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria; like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.\par


and the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.\par


And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but is shall be for {\i the redeemed}: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err {\i therein}.


No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon; they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk {\i there}:


I will lay waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.


Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;


Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.


And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah: and thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.\par


In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.\par


As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things.


And he will pass through the sea of affliction, and will smite the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart.
