Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all his people, Jehovah his God be with him, and let him go up.\par


And yet for all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, our Levites, {\i and} our priests, seal unto it.\par


O Jehovah, truly I am thy servant:\par\tab I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid;\par\tab Thou hast loosed my bonds.


And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath Jehovah brought thee out of Egypt.


And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.


And I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.


They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, {\i saying}, Come ye, and join yourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.\par


And many nations shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem;


And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.\par


and {\i this}, not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.


And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace {\i be} upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.\par


Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear branded on my body the marks of Jesus.\par


But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {\i God's} own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
