Gird up now thy loins like a man;\par\tab For I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.


Be still, and know that I am God:\par\tab I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.


Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.


Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth from it.


but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par


The isles have seen, and fear; the ends of the earth tremble; they draw near, and come.


Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth {\i thy cause}, that thou mayest be justified.


Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth.


Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; from the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord Jehovah hath sent me, and his Spirit.\par


Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye peoples, from far: Jehovah hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name:


He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand up together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.


But Jehovah is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.\par


Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.\par
