And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.


Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not;\par\tab And he walketh on the vault of heaven.


He stretcheth out the north over empty space,\par\tab And hangeth the earth upon nothing.


Yea, can any understand the spreadings of the clouds,\par\tab The thunderings of his pavilion?


Canst thou with him spread out the sky,\par\tab Which is strong as a molten mirror?


That alone stretcheth out the heavens,\par\tab And treadeth upon the waves of the sea;


Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment;\par\tab Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;

Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb: I am Jehovah, that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth ({\i who is with me}?);


and hast forgotten Jehovah thy Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fearest continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he maketh ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?


Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?


He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens.


The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. {\i Thus} saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:


And there we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
