And Jehovah was with him; whithersoever he went forth he prospered: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.


Is not thy fear {\i of God} thy confidence,\par\tab {\i And} the integrity of thy ways thy hope?


O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation,\par\tab Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.


Jehovah is their strength,\par\tab And he is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.


And in thy majesty ride on prosperously,\par\tab Because of truth and meekness {\i and} righteousness:\par\tab And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.


The crown of the wise is their riches;\par\tab {\i But} the folly of fools is {\i only} folly.


In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence;\par\tab And his children shall have a place of refuge.


The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life,\par\tab That one may depart from the snares of death.

Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,\par\tab And find the knowledge of God.


For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof;\par\tab But by men of understanding {\i and} knowledge the state {\i thereof} shall be prolonged.


The king by justice establisheth the land;\par\tab But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.


For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.


Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.


They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.\par


In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.


And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever.


And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.


Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnites: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.


{\i But} Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be put to shame nor confounded world without end.\par


The captive exile shall speedily be loosed; and he shall not die {\i and go down} into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.


Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.\par


And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.\par


For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.\par


But seek ye first the kingdom {\i of God}, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.


as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and {\i yet} possessing all things.\par


for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.


But godliness with contentment is great gain:
