He led them also by a straight way,\par\tab That they might go to a city of habitation.


Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.


Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous;\par\tab Destroy not his resting-place:


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious.\par


And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy trouble, and from the hard service wherein thou wast made to serve,


And he will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.\par


Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.


Thou wilt keep {\i him} in perfect peace, {\i whose} mind {\i is} stayed {\i on thee}; because he trusteth in thee.


to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.


For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:


And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.\par


And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.


And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.


In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is {\i the name} whereby she shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.


And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beasts of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid.


For I, saith Jehovah, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.\par


For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After glory hath he sent me unto the nations which plundered you; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.


In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall ye invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig-tree.\par


There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.


And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.
