As a dream when one awaketh,\par\tab So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.


At eventide, behold, terror; {\i and} before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.\par


And the angel of Jehovah went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.


All the nations are as nothing before him; they are accounted by him as less than nothing, and vanity.\par


Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows; for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.\par


He that dasheth in pieces is come up against thee: keep the fortress, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.\par
