And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?


And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding-place.


The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,


Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.


At that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.


And thou, when thou art made desolate, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with scarlet, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou enlargest thine eyes with paint, in vain dost thou make thyself fair; {\i thy} lovers despise thee, they seek thy life.


because of the day that cometh to destroy all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper that remaineth: for Jehovah will destroy the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.


Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell?\par


When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
