And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of contumely; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.


And it came to pass that night, that the angel of Jehovah went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.


This is the portion of a wicked man from God,\par\tab And the heritage appointed unto him by God.\par


But one passed by, and, lo, he was not:\par\tab Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.


For Jehovah will plead their cause,\par\tab And despoil of life those that despoil them.


For yet a very little while, and the indignation {\i against thee} shall be accomplished, and mine anger {\i shall be directed} to his destruction.


The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: turn ye, come.\par


then will I distress Ariel, and there shall be mourning and lamentation; and she shall be unto me as Ariel.


But the multitude of thy foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be in an instant suddenly.


And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream, a vision of the night.


and his breath is as an overflowing stream, that reacheth even unto the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction: and a bridle that causeth to err {\i shall be} in the jaws of the peoples.


Woe to thee that destroyest, and thou wast not destroyed; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou hast ceased to destroy, thou shalt be destroyed; and when thou hast made an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.


Thy heart shall muse on the terror: Where is he that counted, where is he that weighed {\i the tribute}? where is he that counted the towers?


And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever; from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.\par


Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contend with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.


This is thy lot, the portion measured unto thee from me, saith Jehovah; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.


Israel {\i was} holiness unto Jehovah, the first-fruits of his increase: all that devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, saith Jehovah.\par


But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is destroyed, and his brethren, and his neighbors; and he is not.


so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par


And Jehovah shall inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.


So let all thine enemies perish, O Jehovah: But let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
