Look on every one that is proud, {\i and} bring him low;\par\tab And tread down the wicked where they stand.


Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth:\par\tab How much more the wicked and the sinner!\par


The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil:\par\tab Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,\par\tab And the perverse mouth, do I hate.


but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.


Prepare ye slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers, that they rise not up, and possess the earth, and fill the face of the world with cities.


Jehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of the rulers;


The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.\par


For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty, and upon all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low;


And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.


And Jehovah of hosts revealed himself in mine ears, Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you till ye die, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.\par


Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.


Therefore shall a strong people glorify thee; a city of terrible nations shall fear thee.


As the heat in a dry place wilt thou bring down the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the terrible ones shall be brought low.


For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.\par


For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scoffer ceaseth, and all they that watch for iniquity are cut off;


But the multitude of thy foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be in an instant suddenly.


Woe unto the wicked! {\i it shall be} ill {\i with him}; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.


And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:


your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith Jehovah, that have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills; therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.\par


We have heard of the pride of Moab, {\i that} he is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogancy, and the haughtiness of his heart.


And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored him that liveth for ever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation;


Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith.
