That I may show forth all thy praise.\par\tab In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in thy salvation.


Your country is desolate; your cities are burned with fire; your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.


Except Jehovah of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.\par


This very day shall he halt at Nob: he shaketh his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.\par


And I will encamp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with posted troops, and I will raise siege works against thee.


One thousand {\i shall flee} at the threat of one; at the threat of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill.\par

As keepers of a field are they against her round about, because she hath been rebellious against me, saith Jehovah.


The comely and delicate one, the daughter of Zion, will I cut off.


How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger!\par\tab He hath cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel,\par\tab And hath not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.


And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden; he hath destroyed his place of assembly:\par\tab Jehovah hath caused solemn assembly and sabbath to be forgotten in Zion,\par\tab And hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.


Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah.


Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.
