So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that are escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.


He hath torn me in his wrath, and persecuted me;\par\tab He hath gnashed upon me with his teeth:\par\tab Mine adversary sharpeneth his eyes upon me.


If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up,\par\tab If thou put away unrighteousness far from thy tents.


When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn?\par\tab And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?\par\tab Alike whether {\i it be done} unto a nation, or unto a man:


For he maketh sore, and bindeth up;\par\tab He woundeth, and his hands make whole.


Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong:\par\tab Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.


Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; for I am withered away:\par\tab O Jehovah, heal me; for my bones are troubled.


Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles,\par\tab Wilt quicken us again,\par\tab And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.


a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;


In that day shall men look unto their Maker, and their eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.


And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.


And ye shall defile the overlaying of thy graven images of silver, and the plating of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as an unclean thing; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.\par


Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that Jehovah bindeth up the hurt of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.\par


let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.


Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings.\par\par\tab Behold, we are come unto thee; for thou art Jehovah our God.


For thus saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous.


For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; because they have called thee an outcast, {\i saying}, It is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.\par


while {\i men} come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city:


Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them abundance of peace and truth.


In those days, and in that time, saith Jehovah, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Jehovah their God.


They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces thitherward, {\i saying}, Come ye, and join yourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.\par


He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he hath made me desolate.


They shall walk after Jehovah, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children shall come trembling from the west.


Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep kindness and justice, and wait for thy God continually.\par


O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.


I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.


afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Jehovah their God, and David their king, and shall come with fear unto Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.\par


And if the priest shall come in, and look, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plastered; then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.


Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation that hath no shame;


See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.


Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive: He bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up.


And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto Jehovah with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts unto Jehovah, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
