I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:


For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then shall I bear the blame to my father for ever.


Be surety for thy servant for good:\par\tab Let not the proud oppress me.


Take his garment that is surety for a stranger;\par\tab And hold him in pledge {\i that is surety} for foreigners.


My son, if thou art become surety for thy neighbor,\par\tab If thou hast stricken thy hands for a stranger;


Like a swallow {\i or} a crane, so did I chatter;\par\tab I did moan as a dove; mine eyes fail {\i with looking} upward:\par\tab O Lord, I am oppressed, be thou my surety.


And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations {\i shall come} one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall {\i wrath} be poured out upon the desolate.\par


for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.


And he said unto them, {\cf6 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.


And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, {\cf6 This cup is the new covenant in my blood, {\i even} that which is poured out for you.


In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, {\cf6 This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink {\i it}, in remembrance of me.}


and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better than {\i that of} Abel.


Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, {\i even} our Lord Jesus,


And they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing:


In that he saith, {\b A new {\i covenant},} he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.\par
