The princes of the peoples are gathered together\par\tab {\i To be} the people of the God of Abraham;\par\tab For the shields of the earth belong unto God:\par\tab He is greatly exalted.\par


So the people rested on the seventh day.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious.\par


He entereth into peace; they rest in their beds, each one that walketh in his uprightness.\par


And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.


who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.\par


choosing rather to share ill treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;


{\b As I sware in my wrath,\par\tab They shall not enter into my rest.}


Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.


For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.


For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said,\par\tab {\b As I sware in my wrath,\par\tab They shall not enter into my rest}:\par\tab although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.


For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.


who in time past were {\b no people,} but now are {\b the people of God}: who had {\b not obtained mercy,} but now have {\b obtained mercy.}\par


And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.\par


and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: for the first things are passed away.
