Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;


Whether it be for correction, or for his land,\par\tab Or for lovingkindness, that he cause it to come.\par


He casteth forth his ice like morsels:\par\tab Who can stand before his cold?


Fire and hail, snow and vapor;\par\tab Stormy wind, fulfilling his word;


Jehovah also thundered in the heavens,\par\tab And the Most High uttered his voice,\par\tab Hailstones and coals of fire.


The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters:\par\tab The God of glory thundereth,\par\tab Even Jehovah upon many waters.


The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind;\par\tab The lightnings lightened the world:\par\tab The earth trembled and shook.


And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of a trumpet exceeding loud; and all the people that were in the camp trembled.


And all the people perceived the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off.


Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.


So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.


And Jehovah will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of {\i his} anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, and tempest, and hailstones.


And with pestilence and with blood will I enter into judgment with him; and I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.


And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth-horon, that Jehovah cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more who died with the hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.


and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.


And great hail, {\i every stone} about the weight of a talent, cometh down out of heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof is exceeding great.\par


And the first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
