And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for man shall not see me and live.


and I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back; but my face shall not be seen.


His hands are {\i as} rings of gold set with beryl:\par\tab His body is {\i as} ivory work overlaid {\i with} sapphires.


Who is she that looketh forth as the morning,\par\tab Fair as the moon,\par\tab Clear as the sun,\par\tab Terrible as an army with banners?\par


Her nobles were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk;\par\tab They were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was as of sapphire.

Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he that is from God, he hath seen the Father.

No man hath beheld God at any time: if we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us:


And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

and he that sat {\i was} to look upon like a jasper stone and a sardius: and {\i there was} a rainbow round about the throne, like an emerald to look upon.
