And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, whom thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me:


And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem; for he said, To-day will the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.


And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.


Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I destroy:\par\tab Him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.


What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee,\par\tab Thou deceitful tongue?


He that slandereth not with his tongue,\par\tab Nor doeth evil to his friend,\par\tab Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;


Deliver me not over unto the will of mine adversaries:\par\tab For false witnesses are risen up against me,\par\tab And such as breathe out cruelty.


Unrighteous witnesses rise up;\par\tab They ask me of things that I know not.


Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.


Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.


He that hideth hatred is of lying lips;\par\tab And he that uttereth a slander is a fool.


He that uttereth truth showeth forth righteousness;\par\tab But a false witness, deceit.


A faithful witness will not lie;\par\tab But a false witness uttereth lies.


An evil-doer giveth heed to wicked lips;\par\tab And a liar giveth ear to a mischievous tongue.


A worthless witness mocketh at justice;\par\tab And the mouth of the wicked swalloweth iniquity.


A false witness shall not be unpunished;\par\tab And he that uttereth lies shall not escape.


A false witness shall not be unpunished;\par\tab And he that uttereth lies shall perish.


A false witness shall perish;\par\tab But the man that heareth shall speak so as to endure.


Be not a witness against thy neighbor without cause;\par\tab And deceive not with thy lips.


A man that beareth false witness against his neighbor\par\tab Is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.


The north wind bringeth forth rain:\par\tab So doth a backbiting tongue an angry countenance.


A false witness that uttereth lies,\par\tab And he that soweth discord among brethren.


For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, {\i say} all my familiar friends, they that watch for my fall; peradventure he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.


Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.


Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am Jehovah.


He saith unto him, Which? And Jesus said, {\cf6 {\b Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,}


And Zacch\'e6us stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.


And soldiers also asked him, saying, And we, what must we do? And he said unto them, Extort from no man by violence, neither accuse {\i any one} wrongfully; and be content with your wages.\par


Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?


and why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.\par


Wherefore, putting away falsehood, {\b speak ye truth each one with his neighbor}: for we are members one of another.


Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor.


without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,


having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ.


And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying,\par\tab Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night.
