And they left their gods there; and David gave commandment, and they were burned with fire.


Who smote the first-born of Egypt,\par\tab Both of man and beast;


{\b A Psalm of Asaph.}\par\par\tab God standeth in the congregation of God;\par\tab He judgeth among the gods.


I said, Ye are gods,\par\tab And all of you sons of the Most High.


A thousand shall fall at thy side,\par\tab And ten thousand at thy right hand;\par\tab {\i But} it shall not come nigh thee.


For Jehovah is a great God,\par\tab And a great King above all gods.


For Jehovah will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side-posts, Jehovah will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.


Now I know that Jehovah is greater than all gods; yea, in the thing wherein they dealt proudly against them.


then his master shall bring him unto God, and shall bring him to the door, or unto the door-post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.


Thou shalt not revile God, nor curse a ruler of thy people.


And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am Jehovah:


And Jehovah did that thing on the morrow; and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.


The burden of Egypt.\par\tab Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.


And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captive: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.


He shall also break the pillars of Beth-shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire.\par


Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and them that trust in him:


But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they come; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.\par


And in all vineyards shall be wailing; for I will pass through the midst of thee, saith Jehovah.\par


Jehovah will be terrible unto them; for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the nations.\par


while the Egyptians were burying all their first-born, whom Jehovah had smitten among them: upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.


And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.


Wherefore ye shall make images of your tumors, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
