And the angel of Jehovah said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.


And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.


Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.\par


But the former governors that were before me were chargeable unto the people, and took of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.


Also I said, The thing that ye do is not good: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?


My son, fear thou Jehovah and the king;\par\tab {\i And} company not with them that are given to change:


that ye also be in subjection unto such, and to every one that helpeth in the work and laboreth.


Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.


Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.\par


For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only {\i use} not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.


Wives, {\i be in subjection} unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.


But as the church is subject to Christ, so {\i let} the wives also {\i be} to their husbands in everything.


{\i doing} nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself;


Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.


one that ruleth well his own house, having {\i his} children in subjection with all gravity;


Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit {\i to them}: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this {\i were} unprofitable for you.\par


Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;


Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.\par


Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for {\b God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.}
