This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;


I put on righteousness, and it clothed me:\par\tab My justice was as a robe and a diadem.


Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.


And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.


In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.


Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.


And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.\par


The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.


But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to {\i fulfil} the lusts {\i thereof}.\par


We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.


But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.\par


For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained {\i to be} conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:


For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.


But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.\par


Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.


Wherefore if any man is in Christ, {\i he is} a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, the new is come.


For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.


For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.


For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.\par


having abolished in his flesh the enmity, {\i even} the law of commandments {\i contained} in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, {\i so} making peace;


Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.


who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.\par


but of the Son {\i he saith},\par\tab {\b Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever;\par\tab And the righteous sceptre is the sceptre of thy kingdom.}


Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:


as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;


whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.\par
