There is no remembrance of the former {\i generations}; neither shall there be any remembrance of the latter {\i generations} that are to come, among those that shall come after.\par


That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.


And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what {\i can} the man {\i do} that cometh after the king? {\i even} that which hath been done long ago.


Whatsoever hath been, the name thereof was given long ago; and it is known what man is; neither can he contend with him that is mightier than he.


Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.\par


Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do ye.


And even as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.
