Turn us, O God of our salvation,\par\tab And cause thine indignation toward us to cease.


Except Jehovah of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.\par


For yet a very little while, and the indignation {\i against thee} shall be accomplished, and mine anger {\i shall be directed} to his destruction.


And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.


And it came to pass, while they were smiting, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord Jehovah! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy wrath upon Jerusalem?\par


Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Jehovah, and give not thy heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?\par


For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; {\i these are} the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.\par


Pardon, I pray thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy lovingkindness, and according as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
