And when he was gone out into the porch, another {\i maid} saw him, and saith unto them that were there, This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.


And after a little while they that stood by came and said to Peter, Of a truth thou also art {\i one} of them; for thy speech maketh thee known.


And he sent Peter and John, saying, {\cf6 Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat.}


When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, {\cf6 Woman, behold thy son!}


The Jews therefore marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?


But this multitude that knoweth not the law are accursed.


And seeing the man that was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.


But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than unto God, judge ye:


And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness,


And when they had prayed, the place was shaken wherein they were gathered together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spake the word of God with boldness.\par


But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.


And he was with them going in and going out at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord:


but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;


the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.\par


Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,
