For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol;\par\tab Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.


But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol;\par\tab For he will receive me. {\i Selah


For great is thy lovingkindness toward me;\par\tab And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.


Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints,\par\tab And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty;\par\tab I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt go down unto Hades: for if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in thee, it would have remained until this day.


saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.


And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also the holy thing which is begotten shall be called the Son of God.


And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.


And he said unto them, {\cf6 These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.}


Ah! what have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.


Jesus saith, {\cf6 Take ye away the stone.} Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been {\i dead} four days.


{\b Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;\par\tab Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope:}


{\b Thou madest known unto me the ways of life;\par\tab Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.}


he foreseeing {\i this} spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that {\b neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.}


But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,


for of a truth in this city against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,


in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.


{\b O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?}


And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye all know.


and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.


And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.


And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:\par\tab These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth:
