And unto man he said,\par\tab Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;\par\tab And to depart from evil is understanding.\par


For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous;\par\tab But the way of the wicked shall perish.\par


For he shall never be moved;\par\tab The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.


Depart from evil, and do good;\par\tab Seek peace, and pursue it.


Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect;\par\tab And their inheritance shall be for ever.


O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil:\par\tab He preserveth the souls of his saints;\par\tab He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.


When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more;\par\tab But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.


Be not wise in thine own eyes;\par\tab Fear Jehovah, and depart from evil:


What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.\par


therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner-{\i stone} of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.


We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule, as they that were not called by thy name.\par


And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name:


And Jehovah said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.


Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that take refuge in him.


In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith Jehovah, and will make thee as a signet; for I have chosen thee, saith Jehovah of hosts.\par


For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; upon one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.


and he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, In the morning Jehovah will show who are his, and who is holy, and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he shall choose will he cause to come near unto him.


So shall they put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.


For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.


Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:


And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: {\b depart from me, ye that work iniquity.}\par


and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.


And they brought it. And he saith unto them, {\cf6 Whose is this image and superscription?} And they said unto him, C\'e6sar's.


for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the elect.


and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; {\b depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.}


he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.


I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own, and mine own know me,


I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled: {\b He that eateth my bread lifted up his heel against me.}


He that hath received his witness hath set his seal to {\i this}, that God is true.


and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.\par


{\b That the residue of men may seek after the Lord,\par\tab And all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, Saith the Lord, who maketh these things}


and here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call upon thy name.


God did not cast off his people which he foreknew. Or know ye not what the scripture saith of Elijah? how he pleadeth with God against Israel:


Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.


yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was {\i already} named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;


and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written,\par\tab {\b Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles,\par\tab And sing unto thy name.}


And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, {\i even} to them that are called according to {\i his} purpose.


for {\i the children} being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,


unto the church of God which is at Corinth, {\i even} them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called {\i to be} saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their {\i Lord} and ours:


but if any man loveth God, the same is known by him.


Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.\par


but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?


being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;


from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,


And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.


but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.


laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is {\i life} indeed.\par


for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.


Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.


They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but {\i they went out}, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us.


The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, {\i they} whose name hath not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast, how that he was, and is not, and shall come.


I know where thou dwellest, {\i even} where Satan's throne is; and thou holdest fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwelleth.


And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.


and they shall see his face; and his name {\i shall be} on their foreheads.


I know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name.
