And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said unto them, Blessed be ye of Jehovah, that ye have showed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.


And now Jehovah show lovingkindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.


All the paths of Jehovah are lovingkindness and truth\par\tab Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.


Thou numberest my wanderings:\par\tab Put thou my tears into thy bottle;\par\tab Are they not in thy book?


He will send from heaven, and save me,\par\tab {\i When} he that would swallow me up reproacheth; {\i Selah\par\tab God will send forth his lovingkindness and his truth.


They shall wander up and down for food,\par\tab And tarry all night if they be not satisfied.


He shall abide before God for ever:\par\tab Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.


So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever,\par\tab That I may daily perform my vows.\par


Mercy and truth are met together;\par\tab Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.


Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne:\par\tab Lovingkindness and truth go before thy face.
