Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.


until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.


Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.


Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces with her children.


Therefore I will make Samaria as a heap of the field, {\i and} as places for planting vineyards; and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will uncover the foundations thereof.
