And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my robe, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down confounded.

And Moses returned unto Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.


But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for {\i your} pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock is taken captive.\par


Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!


Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.


that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.


It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one {\i of you} hath his father's wife.


and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.


And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.


I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, to them that have sinned heretofore, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare;


Show ye therefore unto them in the face of the churches the proof of your love, and of our glorying on your behalf.\par


Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are {\i these}: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,


So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount was burning with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

Put to death therefore the members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;


{\i Let} marriage {\i be} had in honor among all, and {\i let} the bed {\i be} undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.


For, uttering great swelling {\i words} of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are verily escaping from them that live in error;


and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.\par


Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, having in like manner with these given themselves over to fornication and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.


But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.\par


Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.\par


He who testifieth these things saith, {\cf6 Yea: I come quickly.} Amen: come, Lord Jesus.\par


And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death; for Samuel mourned for Saul: and Jehovah repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
