but I will send my servants unto thee to-morrow about this time, and they shall search thy house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.


And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken thou not, neither consent.

He deviseth iniquity upon his bed;\par\tab He setteth himself in a way that is not good;\par\tab He abhorreth not evil.\par


How long will ye set upon a man,\par\tab That ye may slay {\i him}, all of you,\par\tab Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?


Behold, he travaileth with iniquity;\par\tab Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.


Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth;\par\tab But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.


He that diligently seeketh good seeketh favor;\par\tab But he that searcheth after evil, it shall come unto him.


For their heart studieth oppression,\par\tab And their lips talk of mischief.


In whose heart is perverseness,\par\tab Who deviseth evil continually,\par\tab Who soweth discord.


And as for both these kings, their hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table: but it shall not prosper; for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.\par
