Psalm 108 - Modern English Version

Ps 57:7–11 ; 60:5–12
A Song. A Psalm of David.

O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise with my glory.

Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn!

I will praise You, O  Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.

For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and may Your glory be above all the earth.

That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer me!

God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide up Shechem and measure out the Valley of Sukkoth.

Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter.

Moab is My washpot; over Edom will I cast My shoe; over Philistia will I shout in triumph.”

Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

Have You not rejected us, O God? Will You not go out with our armies, O God?

Give us help against the enemy, for vain is the help of man.

Through God we shall do valiantly, for He it is who shall tread down our enemies.
