“Kings of armies flee! They flee!” The women waiting at home divide the plunder,


while y’all lie down among the sheep, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold.


“Count the plunder that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the congregation;


and spoke to them, saying, “Return to y’all’s tents with great wealth, livestock, silver, gold, bronze, iron, and very much clothing. Y’all out to divide the plunder of y’all’s enemies with y’all’s brothers.”


Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voice and wept until they had no more power to weep.
