YHWH said to Moses, “You are to speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest must not defile himself for the dead among his people,
“Any of y’all who has killed a person, or touched any of the dead must remain outside of the camp for seven days. On the third day and on the seventh day, y’all are to purify yourself y’all’s captives.
“You are to command the children of Israel to sent away from the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is unclean by a corpse.
“‘They must not go near a dead body during the days of separation to YHWH .
There were certain men who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.
“Woe to y’all, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For y’all are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inwardly are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.
Woe to y’all! For y’all are like hidden graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
