They answered Jesus and said, “We don’t know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell y’all by what authority I do these things.


“If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”


When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the Empire of God.” No one dared ask him any question after that.


When he said this, all his adversaries were humiliated, and the whole crowd rejoiced for all the glorious things he was doing.


But they kept silent. So Jesus took the man, healed him, and released him.


But they could not answer this.


For they didn’t dare ask him anything else.


And because they could see the man who was healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against this.


‘I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.
