Matthew 19:6

who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;


Yet y’all ask, ‘Why?’ It is because YHWH has been is a witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.


For the man who hates and divorces”, says YHWH, the God of Israel, “covers his garment with violence!” says YHWH Almighty. “So pay attention to y’all’s spirit and do not be unfaithful.”


and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?’


They asked him, “Then why did Moses command us to give her a scroll of divorce and send her away?”


What therefore God has joined together, let no human separate.”


For example, a married woman is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is released from the law regarding the husband.


In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.


Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
