David lifted up his eyes, and saw the Angel of YHWH standing between earth and the sky, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.
Then I arose, and went out into the plain. The glory of YHWH was standing there, like the glory that I saw by the river Chebar. Then I fell on my face.
It was like the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.
So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was frightened, and fell on my face; but he said to me, “Understand, son of humanity, for the vision belongs to the time of the end.”
Fire came out from before YHWH, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud suddenly overshadowed them. A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
Jesus came and touched them and said, “Y’all get up. And don’t y’all be afraid.”
I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?’
We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’
We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
For when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, the Angel of YHWH ascended in the flame of the altar. Manoah and his wife watched; and they fell on their faces to the ground.
Manoah said to his wife, “We will die-die, because we have seen God!”
