Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will y’all waver between the two sides? If YHWH is God, y’all must follow him. But if Baal, then y’all follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.


Micaiah said, “If you return-return in peace, YHWH has not spoken by me.” Then he said, “All people, y’all must listen!”


Y’all pay attention, you* senseless people! Fools! When will y’all be wise?


Y’all who are naive, gain discernment! Y’all fools, gain an understanding heart!


He said, “You are to go and tell this people, ‘Y’all must listen-listen, but not understand. Y’all must look-look, but not perceive.’

This invalidates the word of God by y’all’s tradition which y’all have handed down. And y’all do many things like this.”
