Y’all must sow righteousness for yourselves* and reap kindness. Y’all must break up y’all’s unplowed ground, for it is time to seek YHWH, until ʜᴇ comes to rain righteousness on y’all.


Do horses run on cliffs? Can one plow there with oxen? But y’all have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness,


The seed sown on the rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.


As he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and devoured it.


But when the sun had risen, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.


Those on the rocky soil are those who hear the word with joy when they hear it, but have no root. They believe for a while, but fall away in the time of temptation.


Other seed fell on the rocky ground, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
