If you stop listening to instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.


But Jesus answered them, “Y’all are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.


‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ Hᴇ is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”


Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this the reason y’all are in error, not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God?


Hᴇ is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”


For this reason Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.


As it is written, “I have made you a father of many ethnic groups.” This is in the presence of the one in whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead and summons into being things that do not yet exist.


Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they haven’t known my ways.’
