Those who fed them fled and went away into the city and reported everything, including what happened to those who were possessed by demons.
Those tending the pigs ran away, and reported it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what had happened.
When the demons came out of the man, they entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’s feet, dressed and in his right mind—and they were afraid.
